The new one day Emirates Cabin Crew Open Day Recruitment process - for candidates attending after mid-August 2023

This was the account given by one of our clients when she attended the Emirates open day recruitment event yesterday (19th August 2023)

Hey guys! I'm making this post in order to share my experience because I saw some people asking about it.

I attended an Open Day yesterday for the Emirates cabin crew. The open day started a little before 9 a.m. We were 13 people and the day started with a company presentation. The recruiter was very friendly, personally, she made me feel very comfortable and not nervous at all.

We started by creating a profile on the Emirates website and she assigned a number to each one of us.

We then started with the first group assignment in groups of 3. Each group received a card with a profession written on it and we had to discuss the main characteristics of that specific job and present it in front of the other people. Before starting to talk about the profession, each one of us had to state our name, age and customer service experience. The recruiter was very specific on this. When discussing the profession, stay only with the customer service experience. ( all of the people that rambled about other aspects such as education or additional courses didn't make the cut later on).

No one was eliminated here.

After that, the recruiter measured our height, asked about visible tattoos and also measured if we can reach 212 cm without shoes.

One girl was eliminated here ( she was 159 cm.)

The second group exercise then began. We were split in 2 groups of 8 people and received a card. We had to choose 1 passenger to upgrade to business class and to tell her how we would also improve the experience for the people that we chose not to upgrade. We discussed quickly and then again, had to present in front of the other team. Everyone got a chance to talk.

8 people were eliminated here.

Then the 5 of us that remained did the English test. The test was very easy but you had to be focused. Some of the questions may seem tricky if you're not fluent and that mixed with you being nervous can cause you to fail.

One person was eliminated here.

We then completed a form to declare tattoos and scars.

After that, the recruiter took photos of us and the final interview begun. It lasted for about 20 min. For each person, questions were very clear, most of them regarding previous experience and the role of cabin crew.

She told us that who makes it will receive the call the very next day and who doesn't, will receive the rejection through email, again, the next day.

Personally, I felt really good at this recruitment. People were nice to each other and the recruiter was amazing.

2 of the girls got their GC this morning and I'm still waiting for mine. Fingers crossed, it will happen eventually. I did not receive rejection email and that still gives me hope.
