Your CV reveals what and who you are in terms of your personality and capability.

If English is not your first language, we would suggest you send your CV to us for a review.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE ETIHAD ASSESSMENT DAY?

The Etihad Airways cabin crew recruiters start the day after registration with the reach test followed by the English test.

The English test is relatively straightforward with multiple choice answers. You will be asked to fill in gaps with words followed by a comprehension exercise and then answer related questions.

You are shown life in Abu Dhabi and provided with details on Etihad cabin crew benefits and training.

The recruiters then move on to random questions. These questions are totally random and the objective is to test that you are able to demonstrate your active listening skills, think before speaking and your command of the English language.

Next comes the group exercise.

All of you went on an exploration trip in the desert. You encountered an incident - your 4x4 had a a mechanical issue and you are now stuck in the desert where the day the temperatures are sweltering hot and the night temperatures appear to be very cold.
You had a chance of saving these items (around 12) before the 4x4 is completely destroyed by the heat.
In a group discussion, you must organize these items by order of importance to ensure your survival in the desert.

The 12 items included mirror, newspaper, lighter, compass, local map, chocolate bar (1 unit per person), extra trousers and shirts, a big piece of canvas, and a gun.

The group will discuss in their choices and their reasons in a collaborative manner. No one should try to be a team leader or take over the discussion. Often, one member was assigned the time keeping task to ensure we finished the project on time as a team.

After the group discussion, more elimination. There will be around 20 who will be invited for the final interview the following day.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FINAL INTERVIEW?

Possible questions that you could be asked:

  1. Why do you want to leave your current job?

  2. Why do you want to work for Etihad Airways?

  3. What do you think are the biggest challenges if you come to work for Etihad Airways?

  4. How much do you know about the Middle East?

  5. Tell me about a time when you provided an excellent customer service?

  6. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with an angry customer?
